Hankook is equipping the BMW X3 M and X4 M with its premium tyres – a first for BMW M GmbH vehicles. Factory fitted.
The new Hankook Ventus S1 evo Z has been developed specifically for the UUHP (ultra ultra high performance) segment. It is dedicated to high performance vehicles particularly sporty.
The Hankook Ventus S1 evo Z is available for both BMW M GmbH models in the sizes 255/40 ZR21 102Y on the front axle and 265/40 ZR21 105Y on the rear axle.
Furthermore, the profile has been adapted to the specific requirements of BMW M GmbH.
A high level of grip and very precise lateral guidance for optimal handling in very sporty conditions were decisive criteria in the approval stage.
For all M models the tyres also undergo an extensive performance test on the legendary Nürburgring N ordschleife.

The Ventus S1 evo Z has been constructed with an aramid composite material with a double-layer shell.
This prevents deformation leading to an undesirable increase in rolling circumference and less precise handling at high speeds.
Aramid fibres are extremely heat resistant and have very high strength. They also have good cushioning properties.
The new Hankook tread pattern offers added stability thanks to high strength steel in the belt and bead area.
These, in combination with the reinforced sidewall, ensure straight-line stability, cornering precision, sporty handling and dynamics.
With the Ventus S1 evo Z, Hankook aimed to achieve high grip in a variety of weather conditions.
The compound used in the tread is borrowed from Hankook’s motorsports research and innovation.
The Hankook Ventus S1 evo Z uses an asymmetrical tread pattern.
The arrangement of the individual tread blocks ensures rigidity in different driving conditions.
Three main drainage grooves in the inner tread area promote efficient water drainage when in contact with wet road surfaces.
Furthermore, Hankook has paid extra attention to the outer tread surface. The tyre meets the requirements for high performance cornering and precise lateral guidance when driving very sporty in dry conditions.
The Hankook Ventus S1 evo Z is used as original equipment by leading premium manufacturers.
It is available in 15 sizes. Throughout the year, additional sizes will complete the range.
